An indescribable treasure of a vintage pattern. Filatura di Crosa used to produce the extraordinary Missoni yarn range (alas, now extinct), and some of the world's finest knitwear designers freelanced for them. Here is a magnificent cardigan and vest, each with pockets. The cardi's sleeves are somewhat set in; the shoulders on each are sloped. It's rated Experienced because you will have to swatch with other yarns to get gauge and pleasing colour combinations; the instructions are full of the "work to match left, reversing shaping" kind of thing; and certain anachronisms are present (like knitting the button and armbands separately and sewing them on, doubled). But with the modern world's range of yarns to choose from, and the colour guides provided, you're likely to land up with something breathtaking. Also, only one size for each piece is provided. First gauge is for vest, second for cardigan. From Filatura di Crosa book 20, Year 7 (F/W 1991), designs 6 and 7.
