Here is a super little vest/cardi that works for three seasons of the year. The chunky weight makes it go quickly; the lace at the midriff adds a note of playful girlishness; and the shawl collar (garter stitch, knit separately, shaped with increases and wrapped short rows) adds comfort and style. The long repeat of the yarn throws in that extra dimension of surprise that reflects childhood. Because the garment is made in one piece (but for the sleeves), the colours should match on the fronts, as you see-- however they turn out. Armholes slightly curved in; sleeves have a gentle cap.
